"Give.  Advocate.  Volunteer.  LIVE UNITED."

United Way of West Central Minnesota accepts designations to affiliated charities only.

United Way of West Central MN (UWWCM) is a nonprofit human service agency that works with local businesses, agencies, schools, individuals and government entities to help improve lives. All donations remain in West Central Minnesota to help the people in the region that are in need of services.

Donations are used in four impact areas (Education, Health, Basic Needs, and Income).  UWWCM funds agencies, brings community leaders to the table to discuss issues, and supports United Way initiatives (Gift N Kind-basic household needs to persons with home disaster or displacement, Growmobile-mobile early childhood education, Imagination Library, and Volunteer Center).

UWWCM funds WCI Friend 2 Friend Program, an acting troop that goes into middle schools free of charge performing skits related to kids on bullying, eating disorders, and depression.

A school board member attended a skit at another school district after tragedy at her school.  She was touched by the message, “As a parent you reach out to your kids because school years can be hard, it is so helpful to have them get the message somewhere else.”

Kids get surveyed after, one quoted:  “This show made me rethink the way I treat my ADHD brother..teasing him…I need to change.”
