United Way of Northeastern MN
"Give. Advocate. Volunteer. LIVE UNITED."
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota accepts designations to any 501(c)3 non-profit.
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota inspires others to unite in building a stronger, more self-sufficient region by helping people in need and making our communities a better place for all.
Our work goes far beyond fundraising and distributing money; today we are seen as change agents. By assessing community needs and investing in programs that have measurable results, we focus on the building blocks of life: education, income, health and basic needs. To meet the needs in our community, we provide funding and support to more than 50 agencies that have proven their impact in improving lives in our service territory as well as our own youth initiatives Buddy Backpacks, Imagination Library and Smiles Across Minnesota.

Making a difference in Minnesota:
United Way of Northeastern Minnesota works to identify and address community needs. In Spring 2013 we launched a community needs assessment conducted by Wilder Research focusing on child care and early childhood education on the Iron Range. The goal of the assessment is to determine the need for expansion to current child care facilities, the addition of new child care facilities and home daycares in our Iron Range service territory as well as early education options within these sites.
Following the assessment, UWNEMN will form a plan for implementation and improvement based on the results. It is the goal of UWNEMN that all parents in our region will have access to not only more child care options, but also to quality, flexible care and educational opportunities for their children to learn, grow and thrive.
