FAQs for Coordinators

There are no specific requirements to be a Coordinator; however, the following knowledge and skills are helpful for Coordinators to have:  a general understanding of the Campaign, a general understanding of the charities involved in the Campaign, an understanding of their own agency’s structure and workplace culture, a general understanding of the pledging process, organization and planning skills, good communication skills and the ability to motivate and encourage others.

There is no requirement for how much or little time you need to spend on Campaign activities as a Coordinator. Your agency may have expectations for the amount of time you spend on Campaign activities so it is best to check with your agency to determine how much time you should allot for the Campaign.

The booklets are typically sent out in September.

You do not have to order any booklets.  The booklet is available online in its entirety.  If you don’t wish to order booklets, you can refer employees to the website for information in the booklet.

There are several resources that you can access to get event ideas including:

  • The Campaign website
  • Contact other coordinators
  • Go to the training sessions to talk with other Coordinators and get ideas presented at training
  • The Coordinator handbook has helpful hints and ideas
